Deeply in love with his Puglia, he is its ambassador, creating dishes that valorise Apulian ingredients, starting with the simplest ones. He has gained prestigious experience as a chef halfway around the world (from Austria to Germany, the United States and China). For him, cooking is an art, through which he expresses his instinct and personality.

1. cooking class di Potatoes rice and mussels (iconic Bari dish combining land and sea) & Cialledda with frisa (fresh salad of seasonal vegetables)
2. cooking class di Focaccia (piatto street food barese) accompagnata da mozzarella o caciocavallo & Zuppetta estiva di grano (a base di grani grezzi, verdure e condimenti; può essere anche a base di pesce o carne)
3. cooking class di Panzerotti (piatto fritto street food barese; farciti con pomodoro e mozzarella, o ricotta e cicorielle) & Fave e cicorie (piatto della tradizione contadina a base di legumi e verdure)
4. cooking class di Calzone di cipolle con olive (una pizza ripiena di… cipolle) & Pasta alle cozze

Giuseppe will welcome you to the main urban food and drink lab in Bari. It is a real academy whose trainers include the Apulian avant-garde in the fields of cooking, cafeteria, bakery, bar mixology and more. But it is not just a school, it is also a bar with a sophisticated atmosphere. A true hub of quality and innovation.
At the beginning of the cooking class, Giuseppe will tell you his fascinating story about being a chef, which has seen him cook in restaurants all around the world. He will then show you the ingredients that you will use to prepare your lunch and explain the recipes that you will prepare together.
Next, getting to the heart of the cooking experience, Giuseppe will guide you through the preparation of the menu that you have decided to cook. Don’t forget to let us know your choice from the options listed above well in advance, as well as any allergies, intolerances or other requests you may have! Our menus are adaptable for vegetarians, vegans and coeliacs.
The chef experience will end with a tasting of the dishes that you have all prepared together during the cooking class, accompanied by a drink. During the lunch, you will have time to chat with Giuseppe and ask him all the questions you want and learn more about his story as a globetrotting chef.

The cooking class with chef Gigi and Loliv was a fantastic experience! We made two traditional dishes: focaccia barese and rice, potatoes and mussels starting from scratch and using local, quality ingredients. Gigi is an exceptional and charming person and explained everything we needed to know about the choice of ingredients, the details of preparation, the right timing and even some "secrets". He is a very experienced chef and thanks to his passion he made us appreciate Apulian cuisine. Needless to say, enjoying the dishes we prepared together fresh out of the oven was wonderful and absolutely delicious, highly recommend.
